  • Google Calendar ICS

On Sunday, January 20, we will march in solidarity with Don’t Shoot Portland in honor of Dr. King and following the lead of children. Please bring a backpack with water/snacks to so we can distribute them as well as any of the following items:

  • Gently-used clothing for girls & boys (0 - 18)

  • Rolling luggage

  • Backpacks

  • New underwear and socks

  • New toiletries

Please also familiarize yourself with the march guidelines before you attend so that we may honor the inclusive space that Don’t Shoot intends to create.

If you cannot attend the march you can support in other ways:

  • Donate an item from the Amazon wishlist

  • Lend a wheelchair or folding chairs to support accessibility at the march (contact 720-530-8401 if you are able to help in this way)

Clothing Drive for the Community: Collection

Come together with fellow Womxn’s March participants to donate new or gently-used clothing items in support of Don’t Shoot Portland and WomenFirst Transition & Referral Center. Don’t Shoot Portland builds power and advocacy for community and will be collecting children’s clothing and other items for foster youth in conjunction with its Reclaim MLK march. WomenFirst helps women to rebuild their lives and self-worth and will be collecting materials to support that work.

Neither organization is a charity and consists of passionate citizens who seek to do the right thing and account for systemic failures that oppress communities, in particular BIPOC communities. In addition to donating clothing, we encourage you to make financial contributions to Don’t Shoot Portland and WomenFirst as well and to support their work through your time and engagement.
